Russell 2000 Index

There are several Russell indices. The Russell 3000 contains the top 3,000 US companies by market capitalization. The top 1,000 of these make up the Russell 1000 index. The bottom 2,000 (companies 1,001 through 3,000) make up the Russell 2000 Index. RUT is the symbol for the Russell 2000 index, but is not directly traded.
