Why doesn’t Positive Territory tell me when to sell?
Positive Territory was designed to provide the first two
parts of the Successful Trade,
WHAT to buy and WHEN to buy. More than the other two, the
third element of WHEN to sell reflects an individual’s
risk tolerance.
We do provide educational information on exits
so you can determine your own risk tolerance by using paper
trading and not risk real money. Set your own exits and
paper trade them. Rather than wait for each day to pass, download
one of the track record support files or an old DAR,
decide your exits, then look up the historical prices to see
how you would have done. Adjust your exits to get closer to
the gains you want to achieve. If you are buying antacid by
the case then you are probably taking too much risk and want
to set tighter exits. Too
tight and you can get taken out on a dip and miss the following
recovery. Too loose and you may expose yourself to greater
losses than you want. The balancing act reflects your individual
risk tolerance where one-size-fits-all fits not at all.

Why didn’t all stocks from the 2W43-NRT report go
up?
The near-real-time (NRT) report shows all issues from yesterday’s
2w43 report that have achieved
95% or higher of their target
price.
Only issues that reach and HOLD 100% (or more) of their target
price will appear on that night’s Daily
Abbreviated Report (DAR). If an issue is less than 100%
of its target price then it won’t meet our selection
criteria. Some issues that meet our criteria don’t
go up in the short
term. Our Track Record indicates
that most do.

FAQs
Why am I not making what the Track Record says?
The Track Record is designed to gauge how well we achieve
the goal of finding stocks that are going up in the short
term. Because you need the exit (the third part of the
Successful Trade to determine
profit, and since the exit is something you
determine we can’t report the profit or loss you
will achieve.

FAQs
Can I make more than what the Track Record says?
Yes, but it is a pretty rare event. The Track Record has
a 50-trading day range limit. If the issue is still climbing
(and hopefully you are adjusting your exits along the way)
you don’t have to sell.

FAQs
Where are my 600% gains? Snake Oil!
The only place you’ll see percentages that large are
in a Track Record column titled
Ext . “Ext” is a
construction used to provide a single point of comparison
between two sets of gain% and eDay pairs. This is discussed
in How To Read the Track Record.
Or, just read the ext explanation.
Look for where it says “not NOT NOT”.

Why are archived TXT files not formatted?
Well, they were formatted when we created them. Here is what
happened. When computers write "text" files, they
put something at the end of each line to mean "this is
the end of a line".
DOS/Windows systems puts the two characters
CarriageReturn (CR) and LineFeed (LF)
Unix/Linux systems put only the LF
Macs put only a CR.
Our computers run Unix and the text files use LF only. The
original file creation programs were programmed to convert
this to “CR and LF” so those non-archived versions
properly.
Most unzip and editing applications are aware of the situation
and can manage the end of lines properly. For example, with
winzip using their internal
text viewer or using Windows WordPad as the viewer/editor
works fine. Windows NotePad is broken in this respect, and
the data will look unordered, spread on very long lines.
What you can do - Associate WordPad (not NotePad) with txt
files to make WordPad the default text editor on your Windows
system. This will help if any other txt files have the same
construction.
What we can do (and did) - We are zipping the monthly archives
with the special switch that says "while you're adding
text files, convert their line endings to use CR and LF instead
of just LF”. We also went back and re-zipped all the
archives. If you find one we missed please
tell us about it!

What are POGs?
A single Price-Only-Graph is called a POG. Many of them are
plural, POGs. These are charts that are designed to provide
a graphical quick look at issues listed in the DAR
reports or the 2W43-NRT report
that comes out about 2pm each trading day. See How
To Read 2W43-NRT-Price Only Graphs (POGs) and How
To Read DAR-Price Only Graphs DAR-POGs. To have POGs emailed
to you each trading day, log in, select MyProfile, then edit
Report Selections.

What are TAGs?
Technical Analysis Graphs (series) (TAGs) is a PDF

may download them or request them via email. See How
to read the Technical Analysis Graph (series). Unlike

under MyProfile. See How To Get

What are the 2W43, 2W43-NRT and 2W43-NRT-POGs?
We abbreviated “Two Waiting For Three” as 2W43.
It is a report issued each evening that lists issues that
came close to, but did not meet, our selection criteria. If
the issue reaches and maintains a target price (shown on the
2W43 report) during the following day it will meet our selection
criteria and be reported that following evening.
At about 2pm each trading day another report called 2W43-NRT
(near-real-time) is issued showing how close those issues
are to the target price. A companion to the 2W43-NRT report
are POGs, a series of price graphs for issues listed in the
2W43-NRT report. To have 2W43, 2W43-NRT, and/or 2W43-NRT-POGs
emailed to you each trading day, log in, select MyProfile,
then edit Report Selections.

What is Track Record?
The goal of Positive Territory is to answer the first two
parts of The Successful Trade. WHAT to buy and WHEN to buy.
To evaluate the effectiveness we apply our selection criteria
and gauge our success by how high and how fast our selections
rise in the short term. The evaluation is reflected in our
Track Record.
The Track Record contains a number of new terms and formulas.
For guidance see How To Read Track Record
Reports.

Where is my email?
If you don't receive email you are expecting from Positive
Territory, there are a few things we'd ask you to check before
contacting support.
1) Check your profile for the report
Log in, go to MyProfile, then Change Report Selection. Make
sure that the report you are expecting is checked. Changes
to report selection generally take one daily cycle to take
affect.
2) Check that your email address is correct
Log in, go to MyProfile, then Subscriber Profile. Make sure
that the email address is what it should be. Email changes
take effect almost immediately, but if the report has already
been issued then the address won't be checked until the next
daily cycle.
3) Check that you are not blocking email from PositiveTerritory.com
It might be a block at your computer or it may be something
through your service provider. Even if you don't see PositiveTerritory.com
being blocked, whitelist
PositiveTerritory.com if you can.
Lastly, remember that email can go through many hands between
us and you. It may take a while. All reports (DARs, 2W43,
POGs, TAGs) are available from the Positive Territory web
site. Also, any TAGs you request are also placed on the web
site so you can get them via
the web site. Just log
in and click the DOWNLOAD
link.

Can I use Safari 2.0.x under Mac OS X?
Absolutely! The web pages render properly and text (TXT)
and PDF
files read just fine. If you access CSV
